Are You Looking to Hire an Expert to Present, Facilitate or Teach your event?

  • Are you hosting an up-coming conference, workshop, or community event?

  • Looking to invite an expert in to teach your staff or clients about a topic related to mental health?

  • Want to host an event in your space on a topic complimentary to your area of expertise?

  • Could your staff benefit from a training related to mental health for your given client population?

  • Want to collaborate on a workshop for your clients or community?

Hiring a mental health provider as a speaker or facilitator for an event or workshop offers benefits to professionals in our community. It also supports our value to continually expanding and acting as part of a “collective”. Mental health providers bring expertise in emotional well-being, stress management, and interpersonal dynamics, which can enhance the overall functioning and morale of staff or clients. For staff, a mental health professional can provide valuable tools for managing workplace stress, improving communication, and fostering a healthy work-life balance. For clients, such workshops can promote emotional resilience, self-care, and coping strategies. Moreover, incorporating mental health education into a professional setting demonstrates a commitment to holistic well-being, fostering a supportive and psychologically safe environment that can improve both individual and organizational outcomes.

Each of our providers has extensive experience leading, facilitating, co-leading/co-facilitating for events and groups in the community. Whether it is psychoeducation for teachers or parents in a school setting, offering teaching of techniques related to stress and anxiety to the community at large through the public library, or specifically facilitating a mental health training program to a professional staff, we have done all this and more! We love leading groups, whether it is to the community as a whole, your client population, or your staff. Teaching, educating, and facilitating experiences is one of our passions. It’s also a service for which we consistently get positive feedback and form on-going mutually beneficial relationships with our community.

Bring in Experts to Facilitate or Collaborate…

Complimentary Providers

Complementary medicine providers, such as acupuncturists or massage therapists, could collaborate with a mental health provider to offer a holistic workshop focused on integrating mind and body wellness for their clients. For example, an acupuncturist might co-lead a session with a therapist on how acupuncture supports emotional balance by reducing stress and anxiety, while the therapist provides insights into the mind-body connection and teaches mindfulness techniques. A massage therapist could partner with a mental health provider to run a workshop on the physical impact of stress and trauma, offering hands-on relaxation techniques, while the therapist guides clients through emotional release exercises. This collaboration benefits the complementary provider by expanding their services, demonstrating a commitment to whole-person care, and deepening the impact of their treatments through a focus on emotional health, ultimately increasing client satisfaction and retention.

Support for Professional Staff

A hired mental health professional can educate staff on various mental health topics by delivering tailored workshops or training sessions that address common workplace challenges like stress management, emotional resilience, or conflict resolution. For example, the professional could teach staff practical techniques for managing anxiety, such as mindfulness or breathing exercises, or explore the importance of mental health awareness in preventing burnout. They might also lead discussions on recognizing the signs of mental health struggles in colleagues or clients and provide guidance on how to offer support or refer someone to appropriate resources. By educating staff on these topics, the professional fosters a more supportive work environment, enhances emotional intelligence, and equips employees with the skills to better manage their own mental health, leading to improved productivity and well-being across the team.

Professional Speaking

A professional speaker with expertise in addiction or mental health can be hired to present on a specific topic such as substance use disorders, recovery strategies, or the impact of trauma on mental health. Whether delivering a keynote address or facilitating a workshop, they can provide valuable insights, evidence-based practices, and actionable strategies for managing addiction or mental health issues. Additionally, a speaker can participate in a panel of experts, offering diverse perspectives and engaging in dynamic discussions on relevant topics like dual diagnosis, harm reduction, or the intersection of mental health and addiction in various populations. This not only enriches the audience's understanding but also promotes dialogue and collaboration between professionals, providing a comprehensive learning experience for attendees.
