This personalized 1:1 coaching service, offered either in person or via telehealth, focuses on helping clients learn and implement energy therapy and meditation techniques tailored to their individual needs. Through psychoeducation, guided learning, and the development of a customized home practice program, clients will explore various tools such as chakra work, emotional energy balancing, reiki, mindfulness and mantra meditation, breathing techniques, and EFT tapping. 


With a focus on nervous system regulation, grounding emotional responses, and enhancing presence, this service aims to support improved mental clarity, emotional balance, better sleep, and more effective stress management. This coaching can be pursued as a stand-alone service or as a complement to therapy or other healing modalities.


Though this is distinct from individual mental health therapy, as a clinician providing coaching I am able to do so through a professionally trained and educated lens. Unlike some coaches, I do bring my background in clinical mental health to the table and offer our work from a perspective of mental health and wellness, in addition to physical and spiritual well-being. 

What Should I Expect From Sessions?

You would be meeting with Jennifer, who is an expert in clinical mental health with over a dozen years of direct practice. Meeting for coaching is a different experience than traditional talk therapy. Jennifer will assess needs related to mental health, physical health, connection to self, and your environment/lifestyle. Your initial session will be focused on creating an individualized coaching plan including your personal goals.

What Do I Do in a Coaching Session?

In a coaching session, the basic format will be reviewing/assessing home practice, assessing related symptoms and goals, and learning techniques associated with energy balancing and learning a meditation practice. Coaching is a combination of education, skills training, practicing techniques, and home practice. You may explore any of the following areas along your coaching path…

Energy Work: This type of work revolves around learning and understanding the basics of the human body’s energy centers, or chakra system. These energy centers play a role in intake and expression of emotional and physical energy and sensations. Skills related to energy work will include working with the chakra system and the meridian points (used in acupuncture and acupressure) which have been studied and applied for thousands of years in various cultures in human evolution.

Meditation: When you exist in a high-distraction, high-expectation, over-stimulating environment created by our modern society; multi-tasking and distraction are the norm, and disassociation from the present is the result. The impact of this can be felt in executive function, mental clarity, emotional cloudiness and physical fatigue. Meditation is an ancient practice that meets a modern need. Learn to slow down, become present, and observe yourself.

Learn, Experience, and Follow-Through: The purpose of the coaching model is to delve into a structured plan that follows learning new skills, experiencing them in real time with your practitioner, creating and implementing a home program, and having accountability to create a new life style and sustainable new habits and hopefully a shift in consciousness.

Energy work and meditation play a role in mental health by promoting emotional balance, reducing stress, and enhancing self-awareness. Through practices like mindfulness, breath control, and energy healing techniques such as Reiki, individuals can clear mental and emotional blockages, helping to release tension and anxiety. Meditation trains the mind to focus, quiets internal chatter, and fosters a sense of inner peace, which can reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. Energy work, though less conventional, can address emotional and somatic experiences, offering clients an alternative way to process trauma and unblock stagnant emotions. Common Questions about Coaching…

I’m trying to decide between therapy or a coach.

It is true that some are just reluctant to attend therapy but are open to meet with a coach. It’s a common misconception that Coaching is therapy in disguise. Therapists can diagnose conditions and mental illnesses and often find benefit in identifying the underlying causes and conditions. A Life Coach will primarily focus on the “How” to help you get “unstuck” and using their background disciplines (In our case Theravada Buddhist Principles & the Four Foundations of Mindfulness) to inspire you and help you to achieve what is possible.

Why if my problems become too big to address?

The answer is twofold. Often our problems lead to us feeling stuck, our perspective will tell us when we are in the level of the problem, it won’t get better. Well, that is the very reason you’re still reading! We are here to help shift your consciousness (insight/awareness) from the problem to the level of the solution. This type of empowerment coaching can transform your mindset habits and create a positive change.

Secondly there are members that attend our Coaching services and partake in therapy at The Recovery Collective. The other Specialty services that are offered can integrate with each other to better help you and your needs.
